Traditional Fixed Braces
Fixed braces use brackets and orthodontic wires to gradually guide teeth toward planned positions. Because they remain in place, treatment does not depend on remembering to insert and remove aligners each day.
- Crowded teeth
- Gaps
- Rotated or displaced teeth
- Certain bite problems
- Alignment of upper and lower teeth
Children & TeenagersWe monitor dental development as children grow. Not every child with crowding needs immediate treatment; timing can be important. We discuss monitoring, further assessment or treatment when appropriate. AdultsAdults with crowded, rotated or unevenly positioned teeth may also be suitable for orthodontic treatment, subject to dental and gum health. Specialist ReferralSome orthodontic problems are more complex and may benefit from assessment or treatment by a specialist orthodontist. Referral will be discussed when appropriate. | Frequently Asked Questions
